Don Varden – Serenity Malibu – Helping Every Step of the Way

Don Varden had a vision for Serenity Malibu. He not only wanted to open a facility that would offer a non-traditional rehab experience, but one that would provide top notch treatment at a fair price. Standardized 12-step programs and group therapy sessions are all fine and good, but Don had the foresight to hire professionals trained to heal recovering addicts from the inside out. To date, hundreds of former addicts have Varden to thank for his well thought out vision.

So how did Varden manage to achieve his goals? First off, he set up Serenity Malibu in such a way that patients would be able to work with professional staff members on a one-on-one basis. By doing so, patients can speak freely about their problems, allowing them to discover the root of their addiction on their own. The counselors at Serenity never press patients so hard as to make them feel uncomfortable. Instead, they act as a facilitator, gently guiding them towards a new life.

Secondly, Serenity takes a holistic approach to healing. The facility offers countless activities designed to heal a patient physically and mentally. Among these activities are acupuncture, cooking therapy, meditation, psychotherapy, music therapy and much more. Patients are encouraged to choose activities that suit their interests and are never pressured to do something they don’t like. At Serenity Malibu there truly is something for everyone.

Finally, and in some ways most importantly, Serenity Malibu is among the most affordable treatment facilities in the United States. Realizing that most people do not have the means to spend countless dollars on treatment, Serenity accepts most insurance and offers patients a myriad of flexible payment plans.

All this on a campus that is located just blocks away from the Pacific Ocean. More closely resembling a five-star resort than a world class drug and alcohol treatment center, Serenity Malibu and its CEO Don Varden truly provide serenity for all those who pass through its doors.

  1. The problem on drugs and alcohol continues and it seems to have no end. It even goes along with the changes that are happening to our lives. Finding a suitable rehab center must always be considered since it will be the start of recovery.
